An evil king tried to drown the infants, to remove the threat of their royal birthright. The infants, however, washed up on the bank of the Tiber and survived with the care and nursing of a kindly she-wolf.

They grew up as bold and strong young men. Eventually, the twins learned of their heritage, killed the evil king, and restored the kingdom to the rightful king, their grandfather.
