NGC VF Roman AE of Constantius Gallus (AD 351 -354). Son of Rome's first Christian emperor, Constantine the Great, Constantius II quickly expanded his holdings until he ruled the whole of the Roman Empire. He elevated his cousin Constantius Gallus to the rank of Caesar, marrying him to his sister Constantina. Gallus ultimately fell out of favor with Constantius and was executed, being replaced as Caesar by his younger half-brother Julian. Graded VF (Very Fine) and Certified by NGC.
