Julia Soaemias Bassiana (180 - March 11, 222) served as a prominent Syrian noblewoman and the mother of the Roman emperor Elagabalus, reigning from 218 to 222. Initially, she held a significant advisory role alongside her mother, Julia Maesa, in supporting and guiding her son. However, as internal conflicts and family discord escalated, her nephew Severus Alexander replaced her son as emperor.
